pecial thanks to Poquessing Streamkeepers Jim Walter and Leslie Longaker for assisting with this year’s macroinvertebrate collection on March 28! They did a fantastic job scrubbing off rocks in the bottom of the stream (in very cold stream water) to collect the larval insects. The samples are analyzed by Stroud Water Research Center and give us a longer term perspective on the health of the stream compared to water quality testing alone.
